Tax Season Internships

The Walz Group is seeking one or two individuals for an internship in the firm’s Tax Division during the tax season of 2017 (January through April 15). As an active member of the division, the intern will learn in a challenging environment led by a team of professionals and principals.  This experience will provide the intern the opportunity to work on all types of tax returns including individual, corporate, partnership, trust and estate returns and apply the analytical and problem-solving skills learned in the classroom.  The firm views the internships as a precursor to full time employment upon graduation.  Interested candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • Graduating in the spring of 2017 or 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting – with all hours acquired
  • Prefer students who have already taken income tax courses
  • Minimum GPA of 3.25
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work, handle multiple assignments
  • Ability to work both independently, and as part of a team of professionals at all levels
  • Enthusiastic, energetic person with a strong desire to start their career in public accounting
  • Availability for a position requiring 20– 40 hours per week

 

Summer Internship

The Walz Group is now accepting applications for an internship program in the firm’s Accounting and Auditing Divisions during the summer of 2017 (June – July). Chosen candidates will work closely with our professionals and principals as an active member of the team. This experience will provide you the opportunity to apply the analytical and problem-solving skills you have acquired in class.  The firm considers the internship a precursor to full-time employment upon graduation.  Applicants must have the following qualifications:

  • Graduating in the spring of 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting – with all hours acquired
  • Minimum GPA of 3.25
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple assignments
  • Ability to work both independently, and with a team of professionals
  • Enthusiastic, energetic person with a strong desire to begin their career in public accounting
  • Part time – 3 days/week for 8 weeks
