Senior Accountant Position

This position manages all accounting functions, report generation, office support and human resource functions for a company with 35 plus employees. Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of accounting experience in the construction industry.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assembles and controls accounting information, prepares year-end financial reports and works with the CPA firm in the periodic reconciliation of financial records and tax submissions
  • Prepares monthly financial statements including income statement and balance sheet
  • Prepares job cost reports
  • Oversees money management including payment of bills, credit and collection, and cash flow controls
  • Processes bi-weekly payroll information and ensures the release of payroll checks, payroll reports and financial submissions on a timely basis
  • Manages the human resource administrative functions including personnel policies, record keeping, and benefit programs and assists management with employee conduct and discipline issues
