Kara L. Johnston

Kara began her accounting career in May 2021 as a Staff Accountant on the Assurance team and was promoted to Manager in January 2025. Since joining the firm, she has become a vital resource in the completion of audit engagements and has consistently taken initiative to learn, grow, and lead. Kara is passionate about streamlining the  audit processes, and leveraging technology to drive efficiency when working with clients.

She has demonstrated flexibility across a wide range of services, including corporate audits in various industries, nonprofit audits, and employee benefit plan audits. Kara has also contributed as a member of the lease implementation team, assisting clients with updated lease data for financial statement disclosures.

Beyond her technical contributions, Kara has shown strong dedication to the firm through her involvement in college recruiting efforts and her role managing the summer Assurance internship program.
