Shawn Strauss, CPA, CISA, CITP

Shawn brings over 15 years of highly specialized audit experience to the firm and its clients. Shawn has experience in large nonprofit entities, including those in health and human services, higher education, and government entities. In addition, he has performed audits for a variety of for-profit and non-public entities in various industries. Shawn’s versatility is evident in his ability to not only perform audits but also review individual tax returns. In addition to his work in public accounting, Shawn spent three years as an internal auditor for a large local health system. There, he assisted with year-end audit work and performed various risk-based internal reviews over various entities within the system.

Shawn specializes in compliance audits, including single audits for federal funding and audits related to HIPAA and data protection requirements. As a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a Certified Information Technology Professional, Shawn’s knowledge helps the firm in its ability to audit entities as they meet their ever-changing complex technological needs.
