Senior Manager – Audit

Walz Group is currently looking for seasoned accounting professionals for our open Senior Manager ‐
Audit role. The Senior Manager is a strategic leadership position that will help maintain
the firm’s standard of unparalleled service to our clients, as we help them navigate the many
financial aspects of their business. As a leader of our Audit team, you will provide audit services
as well as financial reporting, consulting, and other specialized services.

Responsibilities

  • Understand rules, regulations, and code of professional conduct of the AICPA
  • Act as a strategic leader for the organization and trusted advisor for clients
  • Consult on technical matters and assist with GAAP research and other special projects.
  • Primarily oversee audit engagements
  • Special consideration will be given to those candidates who have a specific
    specialization, such as governmental and employee benefit plan auditing.
  • Oversee and assist with staff development through direct on the job coaching
  • Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and
    externally with the goal of acquiring new clients, projects, and revenue
  • Handle new projects and develop new products
  • Understand the division and firm’s objectives as it relates to the interplay of service,
    efficiency, and leveraging and how these affect the profitability of the firm

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a similar degree in Business
  • CPA license
  • Strong GAAP knowledge and expertise with at least six years of public accounting
    experience
  • Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal and communication
    skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute, while focusing on the details,
    commitment to quality and timely completion of projects
  • Interest in and a proven leader of people
  • Great people skills
  • An entrepreneurial spirit
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite products
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S.
