Walz Group CPAs Response to COVID-19 and Our Commitment to You

As the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread in the U.S. and across the globe, we want to take a moment to let you know what Walz Group is doing to respond to this public health emergency.

First and foremost, Walz Group’s number one priority is the safety and well-being of our people, clients, families, and the communities in which we live and work.

We’ve assembled a cross-disciplinary team to monitor the COVID-19 public health emergency and to put measures in place that help ensure both safety for our people and business continuity for our clients.

Electronic Options – To protect both our staff and our clients against virus spread, we are recommending that where possible, we conduct information sharing using electronic options. While meeting with your tax advisor face-to-face can certainly alleviate stress around this time of year, we can accomplish much with telephone and electronic sharing. To provide us with documents, you can send items through our client portal, which is available on our website. Additionally, we urge you to take advantage of the option to receive e-delivery of your tax returns this year. As an added bonus, if you e-file your federal return, you often can begin tracking your refund as soon as 24 hours after the IRS accepts your tax return.

Remote Considerations – Because we are taking the spread of this virus so seriously, we are temporarily closing our Rock Lititz Pod 2 office. Our main office at 2929 Lititz Pike will remain open with limited staffing for those of you who need to drop off or pick up paperwork. While the 2929 Lititz Pike office will remain open, we will not be conducting face-to-face meetings for the safety of our clients and our staff. We want to assure you that our work and your project(s) will not be disrupted, as we move to a completely virtual environment. We are making the appropriate adjustments to ensure that each of our staff members can work remotely for as long as they may need.

Government and Tax Law Changes – Our Tax Professionals are closely monitoring federal, state and local legislators and authorities to stay abreast of changing deadlines and statutes that may affect our clients. As this information becomes available, we will send emails to keep you advised of the changing landscape of economic relief, potential tax deadline adjustments, etc. We also plan to keep communications ongoing via our website and our social media channels, LinkedIn and Facebook.

We are assessing the situation daily, remaining vigilant, and following all recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Office of the PA Governor and local authorities.

Please be assured that while we remain focused on the health and safety of our professionals and those around us, we also are focused on continued service to our clients. We have taken steps to make sure we can continue to deliver the level of quality, excellence and timeliness you are accustomed to from us during these unique circumstances.
