Robin Alexander Goes for Gold in London Marathon
Walz Group’s Robin Alexander just finished a busy tax season and will now be competing in the London Marathon on April 23rd, 2023. Robin ran her first ever marathon back in October of 2021. She also qualified and competed in the Boston Marathon in April of 2022. Shortly after she ran in the Chicago Marathon in October of 2022.
Robins goal is to compete in all the six major marathons-Boston, Chicago, London, Berlin, Tokyo, and New York City. Robin is already scheduled to run in the Berlin Marathon in September of 2023.
In London, Robin will be running for a UK charity called Mind and has personally raised over $2,000 for the organization. Mind works to help those with mental health problems and to get the help they need. For Robin, running has always played a role in her positive mental health and is humbled and honored to run for Mind and its mission.
To prepare for the London Marathon, Robin had a grueling 16-week training regimen that consisted of:
• Over 625 miles in total and about 86 hours of running
• 6 days/week
• Long runs on Sundays
• Rest day on Mondays
• Also, ran in the Philly Love Half Marathon in March
After the race, Robin is looking forward to spending some time in London and visiting some sites and exploring the city.
Best of luck Robin!
