Walz Group CPA Announces Two New Principals

Firm’s Recent Promotions Add Over Two Decades of Experience to Leadership Team

Walz Group CPA, a certified public accounting and business advisory firm specializing in personalized support to businesses throughout South-Central Pennsylvania, announces the appointment of two new Principals. Promoted to their new roles effective January 1, 2024, Robin Z. Alexander, CPA, MST and Benjamin J. Ritenour, CPA, CGMA joined the firm’s existing leadership. Walz Group now has a team of seven Principals.

Combined, Alexander and Ritenour are providing Walz Group clients with over two decades of experience and industry-leading expertise.

With more than a decade of experience in both public and private tax services, Alexander joined Walz Group in 2022 and previously served as a Director in the firm’s Tax Division. There, she specialized in operations and training while focusing on the firm’s overall growth, as well as the tax team’s technical development.

Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Science in Taxation (MST) from Villanova University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Pennsylvania and is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), as well as a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA).

Ritenour joined Walz Group in 2018 and most recently served as a Director for the firm’s Assurance Division. He also leads and directs Walz Group’s EasyKeep Division of bookkeepers. Ritenour’s 15 years of experience has included positions in the public and private sectors which enabled him to provide back-office support, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) support, and bank examination procedures to various businesses.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from Geneva College and is a CPA in Pennsylvania, as well as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). Additionally, he is a member of the AICPA and the PICPA, having been recognized as 40 Under 40: PICPA Members to Watch.
